A novel Raman Analyzer for early detection and identification of bacterial threat
What is Bacram?
Bacram technology features:

  • A multimodal instrument combining imaging (lensless imaging and darkfield microscopy) and biochemical information (Raman spectroscopy). Lensless imaging enables wide field of view detection, while darkfield microscopy ensures easy targeting of single cells. Raman spectra are recorded in 10 seconds (HTVS technology).

  • A library: a scalable database of bacteria enables to identify the one tested. It includes a statistical err or analysis: generalized cross validation

  • A software allowing unknown spectra visualization, identification and classification based on Support Vector Machine (SVM)

Applications:
  • Risk management (NRBC)
  • Biology
  • Medical diagnosis

What’s new?
  • Rapid detection and analysis in less than 10 minutes: no culture growing step, single cell analysis, label-free
  • Transportable system compatible with field operation (first response vehicles, mobile laboratories or microbial safety workbenches)
  • User friendly: wide field of view detection, darkfield microscopy targeting
  • Specific identification: Raman spectrum yields biochemical signature.
